Comics Defend Free Speech

The Amicus Brief submitted to the Supreme Court that was written by “The Onion” is brilliant and demonstrates how comedy is on the front lines in the fight to protect Free Speech.

I urge everyone to take the time to read the “Friend of the Court” brief filed by The Onion in reference to the ANTHONY NOVAK, Petitioner, v. CITY OF PARMA, OHIO; KEVIN RILEY and THOMAS CONNOR, individually and in their official capacities as employees of the City of Parma, Ohio case. It is a brilliant defense of both comedy and the concept of Free Speech.
